All is set for the grand FCT Presidents’ Gala at the posh Fairmount Royal York Hotel on Saturday, April 24, starting with cocktails at 6:00 p.m.
A preface, “It’s a simple way of saying ‘Thank You’ to the presidents of Filipino organizations and private corporations who contributed to the progress of our Community Centre” is written on top of the invitation. The cost of the ticket is $100, but if paid before the 30th of March, it costs $85.
In an accompanying note inserted in the invitation envelope, the FCT Board of Directors wrote that the “establishment and existence of the Filipino Centre Toronto is an accomplishment not only by the past and present Board of Directors, but by the Filipino-Canadian community of the Greater Toronto Area who support the Filipino Centre Toronto right from the start.”
Chairing the Gala Committee is Dr. Victoria Santiago, who also heads the popular Silent Auction. Assistant Chairs are Dr. Maria De Villa, who is in charge of the YEPA (Young Entrepreneur and Professional Awards) and Dr. Maselle Virey, who is in charge of the Souvenir Program.

The FCT Board of Directors, as a concluding phrase in the inserted invitation note, “looks forward to your presence in this grand affair, a fitting tribute to our own people who have been the backbone of the fundraising efforts by the Filipino Centre Toronto.”
