TDJ presents....

Toronto Downtown Jazz and The Old Mill Inn are pleased to present vocalist Karrin Allyson on Thursday March 18.

A three-time Grammy nominee, Allyson has carved out an impressive career for the past 15 years as a singer, songwriter, pianist, composer and bandleader.

"Graced with flawless pitch, pristine inflection and seductive timbre, Allyson is right at home with everything from bebop and ballads to blues and breezy Brazilian music, singing songs in English, French, Portuguese, Spanish and Italian." - Hartford Courant

Karrin Allyson will be joined by Rob Fleeman (guitar) and Larry Kohut (bass).

The Old Mill Inn goes bistro

The dining room at The Old Mill Inn becomes even more relaxed when the setting goes bistro to create the Thursday Night Jazz Club, each week beginning Thursday, February 25.

In an intimate night-club setting, the Thursday Night Jazz Club will feature an exciting line-up that includes "TDJ Presents...", a Toronto Downtown Jazz monthly showcase of international jazz greats (see our first concert above with Karrin Allyson), and the best in big band jazz with the "Big Band Cabaret" the last Thursday of each month.

The Brian Barlow Band leads off the all-new Thursday Night Jazz Club line-up featuring 15 of the biggest names in today's Toronto jazz scene. Also appearing is special guest vocalist Heather Bambrick.

And as a special offer for students currently enrolled in the Jazz Studies programs at Humber College, University of Toronto, York Univesity and Mohawk College there will be no cover charge on designated Thursdays. Space is limited and on a first come, first served basis.
